February 21-24: Cathy Braasch ’99 (a member of our Exec. Committee) and a bunch of other Yalies put together 4 days of drawing workshops in State College – with another day of workshops planned for March in NYC!
The drawing workshops were designed to honor the work and teaching methods of Robert Reed ’60 BFA, ’62 MFA. For 45 years, from 1969 until his death in 2014, Prof. Reed taught drawing and painting at Yale. His students (both undergraduate and graduate) number in the thousands and his immersive teaching style is legendary.
In addition to drawing workshops, there were lectures, panel discussions and a reception to which local Yalies were invited.
